Tapestry’s overall global workforce is approximately 79% female, with a 63% female leadership (VP+) population and a Board of Directors that is 50% female. Tapestry is proud to offer a variety of benefits and programs for its female employees, including a return to work program for new parents that may not be ready to immediately return to full-time work after a leave of absence to welcome a new child into the family. All employees are also eligible to receive up to 10 back-up care days each calendar year, as well as primary care solutions and discounts in partnership with Bright Horizons.

The Forbes Best Employers for Women recognition is based on a survey of 50,000 Americans—30,000 women and 20,000 men—working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Participants were asked to rate their organizations on criteria such as working conditions, diversity and how likely they would be to recommend their employer to others. These responses were reviewed for potential gender gaps, and female respondents were then asked to rate their employers on factors such as parental leave, discrimination and pay equity and to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. Representation at the executive and board levels were also factored into the final score.
