Tapestry has introduced new and enhanced U.S. parental and family care policies, advancing its broader commitment to foster a more innovative, inclusive, diverse, and people-centered work environment. The new policies and benefits will help to support employees in managing their work and personal life.

The new U.S. offerings include:

  • Standardization of parental leave to ensure all parents have equal access to bonding time, no matter how they welcome their child or their relationship to their child. Effective July 2023, full-time Tapestry employees eligible for parental leave will be able to take up to eight weeks of fully paid bonding time. With this change, birth mothers will generally be eligible for 17 weeks of paid time off, comprised of one week of wellness time required to cover the first week of absence before disability payments begin, short-term disability, and bonding time.  Bonding time will begin after the short-term disability period ends.
  • Increased adoption assistance. Tapestry will increase its adoption reimbursement amount to $10,000 to support eligible adoption expenses.
  • Robust family building and support tools. Tapestry will offer free access to “Maven” – a digital health platform that supports the family-building journey. Maven provides holistic support at every stage of family planning and raising children and includes unlimited virtual appointments with providers across more than 35 specialties — including OB-GYNs, mental health specialists, and pediatricians — as well as access to informational resources and virtual classes. For maternity and newborn care, a personalized weekly curriculum is available to support parents through pregnancy, postpartum, and return to work.

“We are focused on making Tapestry a great place to work, and this includes supporting working parents,” said Helen Freilich, Vice President, Total Rewards and People Insights. “Our employees are the drivers of our success. With our standardized parental leave and enhanced family benefits, we are providing important time and resources to ensure employees feel supported throughout their family building journey at home and at work.”

As a people-centered organization, our enhanced family support benefits are a strong complement to several current offerings designed to support employees including our:

  • Comprehensive caregiver benefits, including 10 back-up child or adult care days each year and support identifying educational enrichment resources and childcare discounts
  • Fully paid, phased return to work transition program to help parents rebalance their responsibilities at work and at home following the birth, adoption, or fostering of a child
  • Robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP), available to both employees and their family members, designed to help navigate life events big and small such as moving, finding a school for a child, planning a vacation, or finding a doctor
  • Designated “Wellness Days” available for activities that promote employee and family well-being, such as taking a mental health day or seeing a doctor
  • Year-round “Flex Fridays” for corporate employees which offer the flexibility for a shortened workday
  • Working Parents and Caregivers Employee Business Resource Group that provides community, resources, and support for all involved employees
